Welcome to Go Mobility

Individual needs are catered for

Here's a company which genuinely does care about its customers - it's Thurnscoe-based Go Mobility which specialises in mobility aids.

It's a family concern established seven years ago by Bryan and Malcolm Glover and their wives Ann and Sue.

Their vast product range contains items to aid every disability and theirs is one of only two companies in the area for motorised scooters and wheelchairs. This means all staff have had in-depth training and are qualified to carry out assessments and give advice.

Motability Go mobility offers no less than ten manufacturers' ranges of battery-operated scooters and wheelchairs including all the very latest models.

"More and more people are buying scooters, they give them a new lease of life and more independence," said Malcolm. "They're battery operated and have the capacity to travel from six to fifty miles depending on the model".

Anyone considering buying one of these vehicles will find Go Mobility a very friendly, caring company to deal with. If customers can't get to the showroom, arrangements can be made for them to be picked up and taken home again, or home demonstrations can be arranged. There's no charge for this service and no obligation to buy.

Go Mobility caters for all mobility issues

Before making their final decisions, customers are assessed for their individual needs. They are given as much instruction as they require to make them feel comfortable and confident with the vehicle and home visits are made by staff to ensure the chosen model will be suitable for their chosen environment.

"Every individual is different in terms of shape, size and disability, and we try to provide a range of products to suit them all," said Bryan, who has a wealth of experience in the needs of the disabled through working on NHS equipment.

As well as selling the scooters and wheelchairs, Go Mobility repairs and maintains them in its workshop which is managed by head engineer, Mark Dorritt. Reconditioned models are also available; they come with a warranty and customers get the very same service as those buying brand new. Products for the disabled are VAT-free and the company offers 0% finance to help spread the cost.

The Go Mobility product range includes stairlifts, lift and recline chairs, handrails, all weather clothing, footwear plus much more. Delivery for all items is free of charge - whether it's a scooter, wheelchair or smaller items such as a hand gripper.

Go Mobility opened a shop at 2 The Green, South Kirkby, Pontefract, WF9 3AB last year, offering the full range of its products and services.
